Hi ! I 'm Dipali Awasekar

Dipali Awasekar is an educator and researcher based in India, with 15+ years of experience in engineering education and currently serving as an Assistant Professor. Alongside her academic responsibilities, she leads research in Artificial Intelligence for Legal Assistance, with a focus on building safe, explainable, and statute-aligned decision-support systems that strengthen women’s rights awareness and advance access to justice.

Legal AI Researcher

In India’s domestic violence landscape, my research builds a Digital First-Response layer—because the greatest barrier to justice is often not the absence of laws, but the fear of seeking them. Using AI, I aim to create a private, non-judgmental, 24/7 bridge to rights awareness and support pathways. I don’t just offer information; I work toward a path to dignity—a first door a woman can knock on without fear.

Content Creator

I speak on diverse topics and write to extend the learning beyond the room. Through talks, workshops, and publications, I translate complex ideas—Legal AI, Responsible AI, women’s rights awareness, engineering education, and innovation—into clear, practical insights. For me, speaking and writing are not add-ons; they are tools to share work with purpose, build understanding, and create impact at scale.
